Cork City FC are delighted to announce the appointment of Jess Lawton as manager of the club\u2019s Under 19 Women\u2019s side.<\/p>\n
Lawton, who is currently Performance Coach of the Club\u2019s senior Women\u2019s team, becomes manager of the side ahead of the proposed inaugural season of the U19 Women\u2019s National League.<\/p>\n
Speaking after being confirmed as manager, Lawton said: \u201cI\u2019m delighted to be given the opportunity to manage the U19 side for the coming season. Being involved in such a professionally run set up and working with excellent staff since coming in, as well as the many opportunities I received both as a player and manager in my home club, Youghal Utd, has really helped me to develop in the game.<\/p>\n
I have been lucky enough to work closely with these excellent players over the last two seasons and I’m excited to help them continue their progress as players and people. We have made great strides over the last number of seasons and the addition of an U19 team and continued hard work over the coming season will help us continue to kick on. A massive thank you to the club for giving me this opportunity and we are looking forward to getting pre-season underway.\u201d<\/p>\n
