{"id":614,"date":"2021-01-13T19:59:31","date_gmt":"2021-01-13T19:59:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/corkcityfc-posts.speiredev.ie\/index.php\/2021\/01\/13\/academy-management-teams-confirmed\/"},"modified":"2023-08-22T09:40:15","modified_gmt":"2023-08-22T09:40:15","slug":"academy-management-teams-confirmed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/corkcityfc-posts.speiredev.ie\/index.php\/2021\/01\/13\/academy-management-teams-confirmed\/","title":{"rendered":"Academy Management Teams Confirmed"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Cork City FC are delighted to announce their academy management for the coming season, following the appointment of Liam Kearney as the club\u2019s new Head of Academy.<\/p>\n<p>Former City captain Dan Murray will take on the role of manager of the club\u2019s Under 19 side, while Dave Moore moves up from the Under 15s to take on the role of Under 17 manager.<\/p>\n<p>Replacing Moore with the Under 15s in Stephen Bermingham, who returns to the club having previously managed the Under 19s a number of years ago. The Under 14 side, who played at Under 13 level last season, will continue to be managed by Greg Yelverton.<\/p>\n<p>Commenting on the appointments, Kearney said: \u201cI am very pleased to have everything confirmed and looking forward to working with the managers for the coming season. We have some excellent young players at the club, and I know they will be in good hands with the coaching staff we have here.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Outgoing Head of Academy, Colin Healy, said: \u201cI would like to thank all of the coaches, players and parents that I worked with during my time at the academy. It was a very enjoyable time, and I know that the academy is in good hands with Liam and his team going forward, and I wish them the best of luck.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As always, we&#8217;d like to thank Academy sponsor, Cork Credit Unions, for their support throughout 2020.<\/p>\n<p><i>The club\u2019s Under 15 side is seeking expressions of interest from potential players.
