Cork is a second home to me, and it\u2019s good to see a few old faces here. There are obviously only 13 games left so it\u2019s going to be tough, it\u2019s going to be a battle, but it\u2019s the same for everybody in the league. We have to take it game by game and we need to try and maximise the amount of points we can take, so we want to hit the ground running.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>City boss Neale Fenn was pleased at the defender\u2019s arrival, highlighting the experience that the 25 year old will bring to his young team: \u201cI spoke shortly after the break about the need to bring some experience into the squad, and certainly Kevin O\u2019Connor brings us that. He knows the club well and he knows the league well, which was important to me. We needed that experience in such a young group, so I\u2019m delighted that he agreed to come here. He\u2019ll bring some experience and knowledge to our younger players.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">\n<div>\n<p>Fenn noted that his transfer business isn\u2019t finished yet, as he\u2019s hopeful of making a few more additions before the return to league action on 2 August: \u201cWe have a couple of targets that we\u2019re working on from outside the league, so hopefully we\u2019ll be able to pull those off and add a little more quality to our squad.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Cork City FC is delighted to confirm that Kevin O\u2019Connor has returned to the club until the end of the season.
