The FSR officer will help further develop the club\u2019s role in the wider Cork community.<\/p>\n<p>Specific Duties<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Act as a single FSR point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Coordinate and oversee the club\u2019s FSR and sustainability strategy in conjunction with your line manager, using UEFA\u2019s Football Sustainability Strategy 2030 and the FAI FSR Strategy 2023-2027 (TBC) as a framework.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Collaborate closely with all club departments to develop and promote FSR and community guidelines, policies and activities.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Contribute to the achievement of measurable long-term sustainability objectives and KPIs.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to coordinate the design, development and delivery of socially focussed programmes, services and events in the football club\u2019s local community.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Liaise and cooperate with a broad range of community service providers including, but not limited, to Local Authorities, Healthy Communities, and other relevant statutory agencies in the design, development and delivery of socially focussed programmes<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Liaise and cooperate with community groups and organisations to develop and maintain club in the community relationships and to identify target clientele for the club\u2019s FSR programmes.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Coordinate the delivery of a range of social services in the community including (but not limited to) football themed education\/health programmes for schoolchildren, working with elderly and other groups of marginalised people and facilitate football activities for people with disabilities.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Plan your own work schedule and set work targets in consultation with your line manager and the Club Board.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Keep up to date with local, regional and national developments in the education, health and welfare sector, in relation to both policy and practice.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Identify opportunities to create new income streams via fundraising events, philanthropy, corporate social responsibility, charitable foundations and EU and<\/p>\n<p>statutory funding avenues and apply for relevant grants related to the club\u2019s ongoing FSR work<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Liaise with relevant club staff to explore and develop the commercial potential of the services delivered by the Club\u2019s FSR activity<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Collate information and prepare reports for the Club Board and programme funders.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Key Skills Required:<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Minimum of two years\u2019 experience working on community development projects\/social inclusion programmes with economically, socially, geographically and \/ or educationally disadvantaged people is desirable<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Demonstrate strong stakeholder management skills with ability to build and maintain effective working relationships.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Have an understanding of the third sector (not-for-profit sector) and how it is funded<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Knowledge and experience of fund-raising for not-for-profit organisations(s) would be an advantage<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Knowledge of national and local statutory agencies which could directly affect the project is essential in particular, Local Authorities, Education and Training Boards and the Health Service Executive.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Have a sound understanding of the promotion of social inclusion through sport<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Education<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Third level academic qualification in Sport, Social Science \/ Social Care, Youth \/ Community Studies or other relevant qualifications or experience.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 A recognised training qualification (e.g. Train the Trainer QQI level 6) would be an advantage<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Abilities, Skills and Knowledge<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 A knowledge of the role of the local statutory and voluntary sectors in relation to sports development<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 A knowledge of the local and regional football landscape and the operations of League of Ireland clubs would be an advantage<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Proven ability to think and plan strategically with a focus on future challenges<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 A highly motivated professional, solution focused and accountable in all that you do<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Energetic personality &#8211; resilient, results driven and flexible in both working hours and in approach to unfamiliar\/changing situations<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Excellent administrative and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Strong interpersonal skills are essential to the role with the ability to interact with sensitivity, efficiency and professionalism<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Have good listening skills, be non-judgemental and possess an empathetic and understanding nature<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Creative, innovative, proactive and pragmatic<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Be resourceful with excellent problem-solving skills<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Strong and confident communicator (both written and verbal) including ability to draft summary information, correspondence, report writing skills and presentation skills<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Proven self-initiative, flexible &amp; adaptable in approach<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Competence in IT systems<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Resilient and results focused<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 A keen interest in football is essential<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 A nationally recognised football coaching qualification although not essential would be an advantage.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Full driving license<\/p>\n<p>This is a fixed term role.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Applications will be accepted in CV (2 pages maximum) and cover letter (1 page maximum), by e-mailing jobs@corkcityfc.ie.
