Cork City FC can confirm that George Heaven has left the club, following the expiry of his contract.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Heaven, who joined the club ahead of the 2021 season, made 8 league appearances last year before suffering an injury in the FAI Cup. He made his return from that injury in the Munster Senior Cup in May against Treaty United.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
City boss Colin Healy commented: \u201cI would like to thank George for his contribution to the club since he came in at the start of last season. He has had a tough time of it with injury, but has worked very hard on his rehab. We would all like to wish him the very best of luck for the future.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It was also confirmed that Kieran Coates has departed the club, following the conclusion of his loan spell from Stoke City, and Healy also offered his thoughts on the full-back\u2019s departure: \u201cKieran has been a fantastic pro during his time here. He is a good player and has a great attitude. I know he really enjoyed his time here and we really enjoyed having him here also.
