Both sides come into the game with three points, although the Dublin side have played a game less after their game against Derry City was rescheduled.

City boss Neale Fenn spoke to the media at his weekly press conference, and he said he wants his side to build on their second half performance last Friday night: “Yeah, there was a big buzz after the Finn Harps game. You just try to bring the players back down again and remind them that it is only one game, so you can’t get too carried away. We were obviously under a lot of scrutiny around our results, so it was good that we did get the win. The boys were really happy to get the win and the crowd were fantastic; it was one of the best atmospheres I have experienced at the Cross.”

“We said from the start that we had tough games, especially the two away games; Finn Harps are a good side and they had started well, but it was a game we felt we could get a result in, and we did. There was certainly no panic from us, we needed to carry on doing what we had been doing, and we picked up an important win. Friday wasn’t perfect, far from it, but we could see the stuff we have been working on, and the boys are getting better every week. I was critical of the first half performance (against Harps) but, once we got a bit of confidence and started playing, then I thought we deserved our win.”

“We are not looking at league tables or anything, we are just looking at picking up as many points as we can and seeing how can we get the best result we can on the day. Going up to places like Pat’s is always difficult; Stevie has got a good squad there but, like ourselves, they probably haven’t quite found their feet yet. They will be a very difficult team; we know the way they play, we have watched all of their games, but after winning on Friday, it has given us confidence and we will be going up there to see if we can get a result.”

Deshane Dalling misses out through suspension, while Liam Bossin joins Conor Davis on the sidelines after the injury he suffered in the win over Finn Harps. Gearóid Morrissey is a doubt having picked up a knock against Harps, but Fenn is hopeful the captain will be available.

Referee: Derek Tomney

Injury News: Conor Davis, Liam Bossin, Gearóid Morrissey

Suspended: Deshane Dalling

League form: W L L L

Cork City will be looking to build on last week’s win over Finn Harps, as they make the trip to Dublin to face St. Pat’s at Richmond Park.
