Cork City FC appointed TicketCo to simplify its supporters\u2019 ticket purchasing journey, improve their match-day experience and to help the club develop commercially.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is the first step on the club\u2019s journey towards developing cashless payment solutions at the 7,485 capacity Turners Cross Stadium. Fans will receive a QR code direct to their smartphone once a ticket has been purchased, the code can then be scanned at turnstiles by stewards. TicketCo\u2019s mobile technology is compatible with all Android and iOS devices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00c9anna Buckley, Chief Operating Officer at Cork City FC, said: \u201cIt\u2019s an exciting time to be at Cork City FC. There are new beginnings, new challenges and fresh opportunities with the goal being to win promotion back into the Premier Division.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s essential to work with a reliable and trustworthy partner so our turnstiles operate smoothly. Our partnership with TicketCo will help ensure fans\u2019 matchday experience is positive from the minute they purchase a ticket to when they leave the stadium.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAs a supporter-owned club navigating a global pandemic, it\u2019s been a difficult period. But there is real excitement for the 2022 season, and we\u2019re pleased to be working with TicketCo by becoming the first Irish-based club to use their technology.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>TicketCo\u2019s platform is designed to make event payments quick and easy for both organisers and consumers, thanks to its pioneering technology.
